The Long Post
One more day of exams, and then this degree is over. I will have obtained yet another useless BA! (I have truly been toying with the thought of completing on in English now.) I am working on 3 take home essays for Modern Middle East (one is done.) And I have an in-class exam on 1920's literature - Eliot, Pound, Hemmingway, Fitzgerald and Faulkner which means that I need to finish As I Lay Dying tonight before I go to sleep.
These are half of the school books I have acquired over the past semester...I have another shelf full of more books (and these are just part of the ones I had to purchase and a few extras. That doesn't count the mounds of library books, etc.) The sick thing is that I really love books. I am going to do librarything as soon as the semester is over.
This is the fan in my upstairs hallway which is too large for me to fit in the picture. The downstairs bath I love. I love the color of the walls, and I love the Thai New Years cards which I have framed. I know it sounds funny to say that a bathroom is a very "me" room...but the downstairs bath I really really love.
A spot in my kitchen/dining room area. I love the colors (and you cannot really see, but the dining room is "tibetan red" and the kitchen is "charleston [something]" but a taupe color I like alot, and I love the way the two look together.) The picture also reflects two of my foremost kitchen interests.
Sometimes the variety of my interests collide in strangely surreal ways. Here is my Thai clock with my 'learn spanish through osmosis" sticky note. *laugh*
This is the christmas tree corner of the living room. I bought a live tree this year that can be replanted. Yay me! Dunno where I am going to plant it yet, but I hope I can keep it alive long enough to do so.
