Can you let me know more about the anthology (e.g., preferred length, stylistic/editorial preferences, etc.)? I have a novel fragment that I could probably work into a short story before the 29th.

Well I can't say I'm sure I'd be comfortable with something in the heavy horror range. But Science Fiction, Fantasy, light romance are all welcome (no heavy erotics). I've received everything from 300 words to 10k. I'm intending to base on strength of the story and welcome a few long ones if I have space. The only thing I really want is that it not be traditional. I want a twist, a change, something different. No sparkles, no sighing and helpless females (unless there's a good joke in there). It doesn't have to be funny, but you can if you want.

Does that help? Any other questions?

That's exactly what I needed- thank you! I'll see what I can put together by the 29th! Don't worry. The sparkles will be played for painful laughs.

Preferably as a jar of glitter labeled Edward Cullen's ashes.

Nearly as good. Oh lord, I remember going into a Hot Topic once and seeing Twilight brand body glitter and having evil thoughts about it that turned into the story.

Oh my, that was a mistake on their part. What was marketing thinking?

I'm now quite looking forward to what you come up with.

And vampires that survive on bottle-conditioned beer 'cos it has live yeast in it :D It's not quite enough for a novel, but the world is already there!
