Advice
I'm working on a story. I've rewritten it to comments off and on for months. Now I'm being told it isn't long enough, dramatic enough, or unique enough in it's current format. However, since this is coming from people who preface their comments with "Well, I don't read fantasy, but" I don't know what to think. I'd hoped to get it published in the college literary journal, but now I don't know what I'm going to do.
Would anyone be interested in reading it and giving me an honest opinion? Since most of my friends do read fantasy. I'll hide the comments and if anyone is alright with giving me an email and preferred format, I'll send it over. It's short, five pages double spaced, less than 2000 words.
