Home: Imagination

Another piece for the prompt table I posted HERE. Check it out. I'm still accepting suggestions.

The prompt from brilliantomega was Imagination, with Gibbs from NCIS, and bonus points if I added Tony. I kind of did. Does it count? It also ended up as a prequel to my Home series. Enjoy.

'Twas twenty minutes before midnight, and all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring, except the computer mouse;
The stockings were tossed on the floor in a heap,
In an attempt to hide that the floor needed a sweep;

Tomorrow's clothes were folded all pristine by the bed,
While visions of a long day at work danced through my head;
With my roommate at Walgreens, and I with a night cap,
Was ready to settle down for a short night's nap;

When out on the F-List there arose such a clatter,
I clicked through the crossposts to see what was the matter.
Away to triskellion's journal I flew in a daze,
Tore into the reading while time passed in a haze.

Imaginary water on DiNozzo's furry chest,
Gave Gibbs a hard-on that put him to the test.
When what to my wondering eyes should I see,
But Leroy Jethro Gibbs having a fantasy!

Hee!!! Love this little peek at Gibbs right before he shows up at Tony's. Almost makes think that when Gibbs first sees furry Tony if he doesn't have the urge to pinch himself to make sure he didn't just fall asleep after that shower.

:-)

Oh my. What an effort. I feel like an absolute piker. Thank you for the glorious reaction. I'll take it that you liked it, then?

*snicker* It is an interesting thought. I thought it might make his quick action make a little more sense. He does jump Tony rather quickly in that first pice.

The last two lines popped into my head while I was reading and I couldn't resist rewriting the poem up to that point. :-)

And yeah, he did jump Tony quickly...

I was also right about a long day at work tomorrow... right after I wrote that, my boss called to see if I could go to this meeting thingy in his place at 7am... Which means I better trot off to bed. But I can think of Gibbs' fantasy to keep me all happy as I drift off to sleep.

*grin* I love being an inspiration. Happy to provide.

Aww. Sounds wonderful (don't mind the sarcasm). Sleep well. And a bit of Gibbs fantasy improves any nights sleep.

You've so poetically described my house and my usual late night haunting of my flist in search of new fic by my favorites - such as this one!
