Sanctuary

The prompt from gelsey was Sanctuary to be written in the Technomage world with Ree and Sergei.

Summary: After that day, Sergei and Ree have a lot of healing to do. They heal best together.
“I don't know how they do it,” Nurse Cathy said softly.
“The doctors added extensions to every line and wire after the second time,” Nurse Jamie replied. “That helped a lot.”
“But they're practically catatonic and drugged to the gills besides,” insisted Cathy.
“And yet they seek each other out every night,” Jamie said, gesturing at the two figures crammed into a single hospital bed. Tonight Gloryanna had gone to Sergei, an easier option as he had his leg in a full cast. She was just bandaged from head to foot. They made a single lump under the covers, and Jamie knew if she lifted the blankets they would be completely intertwined, both limbs and medical connections.
“That doesn't look comfortable,” Cathy said.
“Look at their faces,” Jamie countered. As uncomfortable as they looked, squashed into that small bed, their relaxed faces and radiant smiles said everything.
