Just a great day....
Had a wonderful day with Darren and our godson Ian today. We had breakfast with Laurie and the kids, then took Ian to the mall for shoe shopping, then to the apple store where the boys played with the I-Pads on display while I bought a new shuffle. (My Nano is finally giving up the ghost) then it was off to check out the lego store coolness. From the mall we went out to minitature golfing and lunch... finished the day off with making dinner together and renting Dispicable Me. Just a great day...
Did have a really sad moment though. Found out that a friend from high school passed away. I don't have the details yet, but she is so young, and it such a terrible loss. I am still in a bit of shock about it. It just reminds me of how short and precious life really is and makes me more determined than ever to spend as much time as I can letting those I love know how much they mean to me, and being grateful for my friends.
