CHILLED AND RESTED
We got back from our little trip to the Lake District last night, even though we were only away for 2-3 day's what a difference a few day's R+R makes.
It was a very last minute decision to go to the Lakes, we left town originaly to go north we got stuck in a traffic jam outside town, they were ripping up the road and re-laying it again!!!!...*sighs*, so D decided to do a three point turn and head south, (he has no patience) and really it was the best decision he's made in a long time...lol.
We thought about going to Conniston but after stopping in Keswick we decided to stay, we absolutely fell in love with the town.
We found the most beautiful campsite just outside the town, it had the most wonderful facilities and a view over Derwentwater and the fells. Luckily the weather held and it was glorious for the few day's we were there, so we had plenty time to talk long walks with the dog (who behaved brilliantly) and just take in the views and relax.
I won't bore you with all that we did, just say that we will definatley go back again.
