CALM AFTER THE STORM
Well it wasn't exactly a storm but jing's it didn't half rain last night.... About 7.00pm it got darker and darker, and I was getting quite excited thinking we were going to have a wonderful thunder storm, unfortunately we didn't get one, but the heaven's opened and it pelted down, so much so Lucy, who was in the back garden got such a fright at the force of it she came running into the house...lol By the time I got to the back door to close it, the rain had soaked my carpet and this was all in the space of 5 minute's. It continued for about half an hour and the noise in my lounge was deafening as it pelted down on the 'velux' window, (I sometimes worry it will cave in ...lol) then as quickly as it started it stopped.
I went out to the garden a little later and it was lovely, very pleasant not sticky or humid anymore and the smell of the garden after the rain is so refreshing sometimes. I just stood there for ages and enjoyed the air.
I'm a wee bit knackered at the moment as I had to work a longer shift today and I have another one tomorrow, *sighs* actually when I think of it I haven't had a day off since a week past Tuesday and I don't get another till next Tuesday, *huh* well I suppose the money will come in handy, might even treat myself.....lol
