May 10 - Lily's surgery

Lily's surgery went just as planned. She spent a week in the hospital recovering, a month or so on a few medications, and now she is really getting back to normal. She is almost 5 months old, and rolled over for the first time yesterday!!!! Go Lily.

May 14th- Graduation

Graduation went just perfectly. The weather was great. I was a little sad to not have my grandpa there, but I did have some great guests. The Oxner's, who I lived with 2 summers ago. Then there was Liz and her mom, also 2 great people. I got to know her family when I lived with Kerri. And of course Jim came. What a great boyfriend!!
There was plenty of picture taking. Then I went out to dinner at Legal Seafood with Jim and the Oxner family!

May 14th- Living at the new apartment

At 6pm on graduation day everyone needs to be out of the dorms. Of course I moved most of my stuff before that time, but I still had some stuff to move. Since then I have been living in my apartment. Now when you live in the dorms you have NO furniture. I had two night stands, a clothes hamper, and some yaffa shelves. You can't really sleep on any of those things. The thing that bugs me the most is that I have a bunch of furniture in NY, but not really a good way of getting it. So, we got resourceful here at 134 Englewood.

Janna and I love the trash. The 2 of us have found a...
Dresser
Rug
Bookshelf
Queen size mattress and box spring
Patio Chair
Desk Chair

Things that people have given me...
Futon
Twin sized bed
Dresser
Retro 80s dishes
A bunch of kitchen stuff

Then I actually bought a desk from a yard sale.

Memorial Day- Kmart adventure

I had the day off from work so I decided to take the bus out to Kmart and pick up somethings for the apartment. I got some planters, seeds, and 2 patio chairs (only 4.95 each) I was all excited as I sat in my chairs and waited 40 minutes for the bus to come. It finally got there and the woman in front of me got on and the driver was yelling at something. Turns out he was yelling at me because you are not allowed to bring patio chairs on the bus. I guess it is some new rule. Whatever. Those old people always bring those big carts. People with wheelchairs ride. And there were only 4 people on the bus, but he would not let me on. I walked back to Kmart and returned the chairs. The return lady said. "You have only had these chairs for 45 minutes, how do you know you don't like them?" I explained it to her and she laughed. I still don't understand. Silly MBTA

May/June - Graduation parties

So far I have gotten to attend Jenn, Laura, and Elizabeth's graduation parties. All very exciting. Of course Elizabeth's was the most exciting because I got to rid down with Kerri, and the 2 of us in a car is just a great time.

Last week - My first trip to the Cape

On Tuesday the family I work for and myself left for the Cape. The husband was away on business, so the wife thought it would be nice to hang out there. It was. I had fun taking the kids to the beach and getting paid for it. Then for the weekend Jim got to come down and hang out with us. I only had to work for a few hours this weekend. The rest of the time Jim and I took the car and explored different beaches and found some good places to eat. It was also fun to see him with the girls. All in all a great time.

That's that for now.

Sometime this week I am hoping to hear from Parkstreet Church about the teaching job I have interviewed for 3 times!!

On June 30th I head out to NY and on July 1st the brother and I fly out to Cali to visit the family.
