Weekends are for writing

I should have made it to 10k last night, but I was so wasted after working late and having to commute right through the firework crowds* that I crashed last night. Look how close I am:

9,602 / 50,000
(19.0%)

I have goals for the weekend, but I'm not sure if I should say it outloud. Do I need the pressure? Oh, all right, I would really like to hit 15k by tomorrow night. That will mean doing a lot of work, and I'm not feeling much chirpier today than last night.

* It was the very first time I've been out in London on bonfire night. The bus I take goes right through Clapham Common, where the firework display was attracting hundreds (thousands?) of people. It was crazy. At least I had some nice views of the display from the bus. Walking home, I stopped every now and then to appreciate the fireworks, and we heard them going off all night from near and far. Maybe next year I can work on actually going out and seeing a bonfire?
