I got up this morning at 5:30am and ironed my power shirt. I just knew that this day is what this shirt is made for. I ate and got dressed.
Here is the story of the 'TEST'
I walk in on time and was met by a wonderful lady named Judy. Real nice. She took me into another room and I met Carla. She was wonderful. Very warm type of person. Ok she took me thru a brief explanation of all the tests involved.
The first test:
There was a tape playing, on the tape there were 3 voices. One saying Colors, one saying three-digit number combinations, and the last voice was saying three letter combinations. Carla gave me a 3 sheets of paper and told me to write in a list on the appropriate paper what is was: For example Pink would go on the sheet marked Color. And so on. Well the tape started real slow, like one ever 3 seconds. I was ontop of it. It got faster, and faster. It reminded me of the LSD Boat trip on Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Faster and Faster. Then the 3 voices were talking ontop of each other. Anyway, I finished and Carla said, "Wow, you got alot!". That made me feel good.
The second test:
There were 3 911 calls. Carla gave me a sheet of paper to take notes. After the call was over, there were some fragment and if there were in the call, you checked the box. For example: Bob Smith robber Denny's and ran north to a school... The word might say Northbound. That you wouldn't check because it said North not Northbound..... to a 911 operator, there is a big difference. Anyway I made my way thru all 3 calls.
The fourth test:
Using the three calls that I heard. There were words like north, fat, school. You had to check if there were in the first, second, third, or none of the calls. Also they could be in more than one call. Tracy Johnson in the first called and in the second, 311 Johnson Ct.
The fifth test:
This test had fragments like 5'9" and pager # and you had like 2 seconds to find the fragments and they were read to you and put a number next to it.... that was hard. I got 18 out of the 18 I did correct. 2 I didn't do. I thought it would be better to leave it blank and to concentrate on the next one then guess.
The Sixth test:
This was hard, espically for me. There were like 50 street around the county listed and you had to write what part of the county they were in. That was hard for me because of working for the bank. I was so use to seeing for example Happy Hollow Rd. I know that is in Pigeon Forge but it is in Wears Valley Section of Pigeon Forge. I sucked at that. Carla said that it was ok and not to worry that only about 50% was the going score.
The Seventh test:
The typing test. Thank God. The funny thing is that all week I went on Typing.com and practiced typing on there, they have a little timed test. Would you believe that Judy took me to her office and had Typing.com on the screen and the test that we used was the one that I have been practicing for 2 weeks. Sweet Jesus, praise the lord. Anyway, I was a little disappointed because I scored only a 65 WPM. I went yesterday and got my nails cut short and it really slows me down. I can wipe my ass better, just not type.
So that is the summary. When I left, Judy told me that she has never seen anyone come thru and type that fast. We shook hands and she also said that she will be deciding and doing callback probabally friday. I wonder what will be in the callback? Probabally just and interview. I was afraid of the testing, but the interview is a cake walk for me. I think the fact that I am not shy and real outgoing helps.
Please everyone say a prayer for me. I want this test.
