Food and Dolls
(Haha, don't worry, they weren't occupying the same space at the same time, just the same table XD; )
Anyhow, the original plan was to go to Capriciosa for lunch, and then dessert at Frames, but we ended up doing lunch at Capri and dinner at Frames.
First up, here's lunch:
Pizza. The only complaint I have is the big expanse of plain dough, feels like they skimped on the ingredients ^^; Aside from that though, the pizza was delicious, even the plain dough.
(btw, I'm learning that you shouldn't try to eat anything at Capriciosa by yourself -- I shared this pizza with blackwing_dias and it was nearly too much ^^; )
I love the pumpkin pie, but most folks at the table hate it ^^; rh11 posits that if you like red beans you'd like pumpkin pie.
And on to the dolls:

And this little kitty:
....Is his name really officially Setsunyan? XD;
Apparently's Setsunya XD;
I brought my two teeny tinies:
....but only one of them agreed to be photographed ^^;

And then onto Frames:
....where no one really wanted to risk a main meal so we just had dessert for dinner XD;
I had brownie and sticky date pudding. As usual.... ate the brownie without taking a photo ^^;
Here's the sticky date pudding:
Actually pretty decent, there's a lovely caramelly smell and taste to it. But it did get a little thick halfway through.
The rest of the table ordered apple pie:
I think it's quite nice, though rh11 thinks it's too floury. The apple filling is the proper kind made from sour apples with cinnamon, so that's a definite hit for me. I think the flouriness of the crust probably depends on your taste, I don't mind it at all.
And this is blackwing_dias' sundae:
(There's a brownie in the ice cream too!)
My drink this time around is a house special: Sweet Cupid, I think? Maybe it was Sweetheart:
It's mostly a ribena + lemon fizzy soda, with a scoop of ice cream in it. I'm pleased to report that it's actually pretty decent and not too sweet (although, since I've been eating sweet stuff, maybe I can't judge the sweetness properly after the pudding/brownie ^^; )
But the best item has to be the fruit tea, can you believe the teapot was capable of filling 3 teacups?
All this straight from the first pour, no refills. The tea itself is pretty aromatic.
And there's real fruit in it too! You can pick them out and eat them (we did), but erm, some of the fruits have oxidised and gone brown, so be prepared for that sight XD;
It ended up being a pretty long Saturday, but I did enjoy myself.
