It's INSANE how much blood there can be, isn't it? My mom gets them all the time - always has. She's been to the hospital a handful of times to have the thing cauterized.

The last time she had a hospital-worthy one (a couple years ago) we ended up calling the paramedics. One of the EMTs did something I'd never seen before. He rolled up a thin piece of cardboard into an 1"x0.25" tube and stuck it under her upper lip. It might not have stopped it completely, can't remember, but it slowed it down enough that I could drive her to the ER myself (...and not have to deal with the insurance bill for a 3 minute ambulance ride).

Still had to wait 2 hours. PFFT. She's gonna need to learn how to bleed out of her eyes before the next one. Seriously.

aaaand /ramble. :)

Anyway. Sam's reaction was perfect. A mix of concern and annoyance ("Can you stop gushing everywhere? Jesus, you're leaking all over the place." LOL. Exactly.).

Good to know blood loss doesn't kill Dean's libido.

You have the boys down. Dean asking if he can set fire to the house, changing Sam's ringtone, bwahaha. And a True Blood reference. :) Great fic!

Thank you!

I will confess - Dean asking to set fire to the house was via suggestion from wave_obscura, because in my head I knew why the Barkers wouldn't have been able to just up and move, but I completely forgot to put it down on paper. So, it got brought up - why wouldn't they just burn the house down? That question actually gave presence for further insertion of the theme, so it worked out great.

Changing Sam's ringtone actually came from one of the first SPN fic I ever wrote, at a comment-fic meme. The song playing for Sam that time... "I'm just a redneck woman, not a high class gal..."

And yay for someone getting the 'True Blood' ref!
