Ok, now that it's days and days later, and almost 4am, I have decided to sit down and write this entry that has been in my head for some time now.
As you can tell, being 4am, I have really bad insomnia lately. Luckily it's been keeping me busy with cleaning my apartment, organizing things, and getting some crafty stuff done, but I really miss sleeping at normal hours. I really have no idea what's up with my body lately, but I just can't seem to make myself go to bed at normal hours, even when I don't have work.
Halloween came and went. I spent the night before Halloween with McCall
youampersandme, carving a great, big Pumpkin, and watching the season finale of
Weeds. Now I really want to buy the first season on dvd so I can really get into the show. I actually put it on my Amazon wishlist. I rarely get into tv shows anymore since I don't have cable, an antenna, and I work late hours. My tv is never on unless I am playing Animal Crossing or have a movie on for background noise. This show however is brilliant!
McCall and I trying to carve the pumpkin while looking tough with knives. Did we succeed? I'm wearing my new houndstooth jacket from Forever 21 in that photo, but it's a terrible view of it. I love the jacket, but it's not very warm.
Scooping out the guts was a hard task, but I accepted the challenge.
We named him Jason Schwartzman. Can you see his beauty mark? I don't know what kind of face I am making, but that sweet outfit I was wearing ended up being my costume. I added white tights and maryjanes and went as school girl. How unorginal I am from last year's school girl outfit.
On Halloween, I worked, and then ran to Tube to dance it up with friends. There was a huge crowd, and after an hour of dancing, we headed to the after hours party to dance some more. I didn't get home until 6am! I was also probably the most sober person there, seeing as I had 2 drinks the entire night, and danced it all off. I hung out with the guys that work at
Just Be, and we finally introduced ourselves. One of the guys was like, "Hey! You are the quiet girl that always comes in the store!" And now I have seen them outside the store, since Halloween a bunch, and they all just come up to me and hug me. It was cute that night, because all of them were talking about Blythe dolls with me and how much they love them, and they told me they will be getting new dolls in very shortly!!
The week flew by. I worked long hours, then when the weekend came, I was cut fairly early into the evening. With the raise, it should even out, but I was hoping for more hours. On Saturday night, I headed to Tube again, and ran into my friend Jesse from work, and my friend Wes. We dance a whole lot, and Wes is now hopefully going to be my new gay best guy friend (in Portland, that is). I love him so much and he always comes up to me at work and tells me how cute I am. Jesse is freaking adorable and we ended up hanging out all night, and eating Pho to sober him up a little. I made sure him and his friends got home safe, and then ended up crashing at their studio with them. The studio was amazing and filled with amazing art, and books. I was really blown away! I left at 7am and crashed in bed until 3pm.
See, what am I doing to my body? Hello, sleep? Where are you?
Sunday, McCall and I had plans to see Mary Poppins that was playing at the theater near her house, but we got distracted by shopping at Urban Outfitters and Good Will. It was hard not buying anything from Urban, but we both scored on lots of things from Good Will. I really wish I had a camera to show you guys my amazing finds. Hopefully soon I will have one. Then we went back to her house to avoid the rain, and watched
Enough, that was on the tv when we came in. I somehow got really sucked into watching JLo being an abused wife. For a shitty movie with JLo, it wasn't half bad. We didn't watch the entire thing, but I basically figured out what happened in the end. We ate chocolate cake and strawberries, hung out with her folks for a bit, and came home.
Today I cleaned a lot, bought some things to re-do a sweater (I took the old buttons off my black cardigan and replaced them with white heart buttons), some ribbon to wear as a headband, and other little things. I ate Taco Bell for dinner, and came home completely drenched! It won't stop raining. Yesterday and today there have been floods and puddles the size of small lakes. I have a feeling most people will stay in tomorrow night, rather than come out to dinner at my work. Plus this week we don't have a guest dj!
I have received very lovely mail from Dale
autumnsweaters and Jane Boston
theexits! Thank you again for the mix cd and Sylvia Plath postcard, Dale & thank you Jane for the lovely letter and zines! I will be writing you both soon. I also have lots of things to send out to
starmiranda and some of you other lovelies. Maybe I will be sleep deprived all week again so I can work on those!
I have been behind on reading my friend's list as well, so I will get to that soon, and comment on things. I hope all has been well with you all!
