(no subject)
I haven't been up to much lately except for getting settled and keeping cool in this weather. I have been off work since Sunday, and it feels nice, but all my money from my check went to my rent, so there hasn't been much to do.
On Saturday, capnjeremy and myself went to see Superman Returns in the theater, because it seemed fairly interesting to me, and I hadn't seen a comic book movie since Sin City. Not being a fan of Superman, I went in thinking of all the dorky shit they were going to pull off. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. I thought Kevin Spacey played a pretty good Lex Luthor now. We are also starting to watch the Spiderman movies, because I have never seen them, and I am a big Sam Raimi fan, and so far I like the first one (we had to stop watching it to go somewhere last night). The tiny Bruce Campbell scene had me giggling. After that, we headed over to meet _narcosis and get sushi & show her my apartment. We watched parts from a Muppets movie I own, and I showed her all my owl, Blythe, and Hello Kitty things.
We went out for ice cream at this really great coffee house near my apartment, and I knitted a bit, and we got lost walking back to my house.
I feel all itchy wearing this shirt. I think it's because a few nights ago on a walk, Jeremy and I found two little, sweet cats and stopped to play with them for a bit. I hope they didn't have flees. Eep.
Looks like I just enough room to house two people for the zine symposium, but we can still have a get together at my place. I will make sure to email (those who need them) directions to my apartment. I am so excited to have starmiranda and mrzachyboy stay for the weekend. I can't wait at all!
Today we joined narrowescape, Daniel, betweenthebars, Sharin, and Mark for a potluck and kickball game. We couldn't play a "real" game, but it was still a lot of fun hanging out. Later tonight, Summer and family are joining us in Jeremy's office to watch the fireworks from the 22nd floor. Yay!
(I have so much to say about all the creative projects and things I want to do, but that will have to wait. Oh, it's exciting!!)
