Oh, lord. This comment makes me blush, ngl, because I rarely feel like I'm writing anything worth detailed discussion. Thank you, I'm flattered.
And thrilled, naturally, that you're enjoying it. A couple of points of yours that I wanted to address. Firstly, I'm glad the Sophia/Emily kiss didn't feel outside the relms of possible. Sophia is fairly difficult to write, namely because she is just a tragic cloud that hung over and tainted the whole of s4, but I'm certain that if she hadn't had a year of moping after Naomi, and had some form of emotional outlet earlier in events, things wouldn't have become so life and death. But Emily's views on Sophia... well, we sort of know what Emily finds attractive, and Sophia doesn't possess many of those qualities, certainly.
Katie is less homophobic in this version. I've tried to keep the fundamentals of each character intact, whilst trying to consider how the change in dynamics would alter their thought processes. But I'm sure that canonKatie is not innately homophobic, but rather it is a demonstration of both her dislike of everything Naomi is, and a fear of losing Emily to the ~unknown. If the circumstances were different, I think her reaction would have been different.
That said, Katie will always be HBIC, no matter what universe she gets thrown in! She gets stuff done, that one, no doubt.
Thanks again dude, feedback like that makes writing extra fun :)
