It's that time of year again. For many reasons.
1. EXAM TIEM NAO - I have...just under 2 weeks before I write my first exam. Can anyone say doomed? I still have 2 assignments to go, as well. I AM FEELING THE DOOM.
2. SUMMER TIIIIIME: I hate summer. I really do. I don't like feeling hot, and clammy and sweaty. I don't enjoy wearing as little clothing as possible. I really dislike the shorts most girls wear - they might as well be walking around in underwear. But OTOH, I get so nostalgic around this time of year, because I arrived in Australia during summer, and so certain things twinge at my memories. I can't believe it's been 10 years since I got here.
3. ALLERGIES with the heat, comes the sneezing and itchy eyes. And I discovered just how dangerous it is to have a sneezing fit, while driving.
In other news, my exciting news for the week include:
1. SWIMMING: on Friday my sister and I woke up at 5:45am so we could get to the local aquatic centre by six, or just after to swim before she had school. We swam (and walked) laps until about 7:30, and then I threw her at her school and came home to "work". We are planning to go swimming three times a week at oh-dark-thirty, due to the immense Australian heat, and then at about 8pm I will go make use of my gym membership. This depends on my summer job, but basically we should be golden.
2. POLICE CHASE: My study's window faces my street. We live on the road curve, in a cul-de-sac shaped like a P. I watched a white car come ROARING past, with a police car hot on its heels, and as it passed my house, the police turned the sirens on. I was amused because this car must've been trying to get away when it entered my street....but there is only one road in and out of my street. Hahaha.
3. NEW CAR! My mom got a new car. Well, a new used car. This was to replace my dad's horrible old van he used for work, and the plan is he will take my mom's old station wagon and she has the new car. I was excited, because I literally have never driven in an automatic car - I don't know how. So I thought they would share with me. Then I got told that because I am under 25 and on a provisional licence, it would cost too much to insure me so I AM NOT ALLOWED TO DRIVE IT. It was very sad.
I've been listening to my sister and her friends and their "problems", and really, people who complain about how crappy their lives are and who do nothing to fix it and just think that they have it so bad piss me off. That's my complaint for today!
...I'm sorry about the soon-to-be influx of OMG DOOOM DOOOOOOOOM DOOOOOOOM EXAM DOOOOOOOOOOOM posts.
