I SUCK.

JESUS CHRIST.

DRIVING MANUAL IS A FUCKING NIGHTMARE. I mean, of course, it was my first go. WHICH MAKES IT ONLY SLIGHTLY BETTER. But seriously. I suck at just changing from first - second and stopping and starting again. STALL CITY. In theory I understand what I am meant to do - clutch down, change gears (TAKE YOUR FOOT OFF THE ACCELLERATOR...*JERKJERKJERK*..."hehe, whoops"), clutch up ("NOT SO FAST! NOT UNTIL YOU ARE GOING AT LEAST 40!"), accellerate ('DONT PRESS IT SO HARD!" *REVREV*"), change to first...ETC ETC. BUT MY BODY WILL NOT CO-ORDINATE.

Seriously though, my biggest problem was that - you know when you are starting - (make sure you are in first), clutch down, bring it up SLOWLY, as it gets to a certain point, press accellerator (SLIGHTLY) and then (SLOWLY) release the clutch, AND THEN YOU HAVE TO LET GO ACCELLERATOR AGAIN AND CLUTCH AND SECOND GEAR....no, but I have issues with letting go of the clutch slowly and then pressing the accellerator...my body jerks and my foot lets go and HELLO STALL CITY.

Okay. It was my first lesson. I should cut myself some slack. I remember when my sister started learning - she had already been driving automatic for ages, and SWORE AND FREAKED OUT AND SUCKED for at least a few months. This gives me hope.

My mother is promptly freaking out - since I am making her take me tomorrow. She drove once with my sister and swore NEVER AGAIN.

Anyway. I guarantee there will be more driving stories. Well, I still have a lot to learn: including, how to drive on one side of the road, and how much pressure to put on the accellerator (apparently revving is not cool?) and, looking out your mirrors and watching for pedestrians and all those, y'know, driving things.

OKAY I REALLY NEED TO DO WORK NOW. *PROCRASTINATES*
