It's Official, our baby is mobile and vocal!
Yep, I'm happy (and a little bit sad) to report that R no longer stays where you put her! She's mobile! Look out world here she comes! Nope...she's not crawling yet. (She TRIES to get on all 4's but that one leg keeps getting stuck underneath her and she falls over.) But she is a rolling maniac! The other night she rolled from the kitchen to the hallway and into her room. She rolls all over the living room now! I spent the day baby proofing the main areas upstairs. For some reason, she loves hanging out under the coffee table!
And she's vocal! She officially has three words now! Her first word was Mama. (much to Shrique's chagrin!)
She calls for me in her crib and it just melts my heart. She then learned Uh-oh when she dropped something. OK, so it's not a real word per se, but it is a verbal communication in response to a specific event so we're counting it! And then yesterday, we were hanging out in the hallway looking at the milestone pictures of N. when she was a baby. R LOVES to look at those pictures! She said clear as a bell "baby!" Shrique came home for lunch a few moments later and I got her to say it again. YEP! She's 9 months old and has three words. OH NO! I think we're going to have another chatterbox on our hands! :)
