So, ok, sure, Christ totally wasnt born today, but I guess we had to pick some point in time to celebrate him. And, yea, it was a pagan holiday to begin with. And, ok, it was really Paul who started Christianity, as Jesus was Jewish and it would be a little cocky to start a religion based on yourself while you're living.
But the point is, today we're supposed to reflect on a pretty cool guy who may or may not have died in order to give you a chance to get into Heaven. Honestly, that's not the issue and I'm not getting into that. When he lived he was a cool guy, a revolutionary, and he helped people. Can't we just dig that?
Perhaps today we should all put aside the presents and simply think about living our lives with the spirit of goodeness that he lived his.
And c'mon, you know my religious stance, so you know I'm not feeding you crap here. Don't get caught up in the commercialism of this day. Take this day to reflect on being a better person and living to help the world become a better place, because that...that is what Christmas is about. Celebrating the way that Jesus lived. He was a goode example of living life truthfully and righteously, let's use today to follow it.
Happy Christmas
