My Bingo Card

For stargateland 's bingo card entry.

1. Question - Drabble 100 words

“Let me ask you a question Rodney,” Sheppard said, tool in hand to modify his remote, “how do you believe that,” he pointed to Rodney’s remote controlled entry,” will beat this?”

Sheppard was gearing up to challenge his friend. This time they were using customized mini-jumpers. Usually he’d be concerned about McKay’s process of upgrading his entry; McKay being the superior intellect, according to McKay.

This time, however, McKay’s mini-jumper looked like a hack job. Something Ronan could have thrown together.

“We’ll see how it will,” Rodney smirked and held up his remote. “Ready?”

Sheppard lost. Badly.

Rodney grinned.

5. Your Choice - Stargate: Atlantis Versus The Big Bang Theory Meta: “Why Rodney McKay and Sheldon Cooper are Kindred Spirits” 150 words

Rodney McKay would tell you himself. He is highly intelligent.  Those around him would agree, but would also point out his hypochondria and his inflated ego. Sheldon Cooper would point out all three about himself, all the while putting on latex to throw away a used tissue. Would Sheldon, a SciFi fan, watch SG:A? If he did, would he be cognizant of Rodney being his kindred spirit?

They were both were child prodigies:

Rodney: I built an atomic bomb for my grade six science fair exhibit.

Mrs. Cooper [Sheldon’s Mother]: I remember one summer when he [Sheldon] was thirteen, he built a small nuclear reactor in the shed.

They both also have a desire for accolades, most particularly, the Nobel Prize:

Sheppard: Best case scenario?
McKay: I win a Nobel Prize.

Sheldon: The Arctic expedition was a remarkable success, I’m all but certain there’s a Nobel Prize in my future.

8. Opposite - drabble, 100 words

“Why do you people always do the exact opposite of what I tell you to do?” Rodney was addressing Sheppard in particular, but spreading his arms wide to encompass them all.

“McKay,” Sheppard said tightly, “what you tell us to do and what it turns out we can do are usually two different things.”

Weir nodded, “Rodney we always value your input - but sometimes the situation calls for Sheppard’s instincts.”

Rodney ducked on instinct a full two seconds before the others did. “I told you so. “Do not come down to this planet or we’ll die,” was straightforward even for me.”
