It was just too funny not to share with my livejournal friends as well.
Today at work I pretty much had the most hilarious phone call ever. I was on the phone helping this seemingly sweet sounding older man make a reservation. He said, "I have another phone call, can you please hold?" I wanted to take as few reservations as possible so I said sure. So I hear him click onto the other line BUT then I hear him talking. He says something like "This is so and so..." And I said, "Oh, this is still reservations." BUT he could NOT hear me. I could hear him having a conversation with someone else (who I could not hear) but he apparently didn't know I was listening and he couldn't hear me. ANYWAY, this coversation started off innocently enough until he said something like, "I can't get the image of you in those black underwear from last night out of my head." So, eventually he says something like, "I'm going to hang up on reservations and I'll be right back." He clicks back onto me, says he is going to call back. I say, sure. Then he says, well maybe I'll just try to get off the other call. So he clicks back on the other call and apparently this other woman starts talking quite pornographically. He starts saying something about a telescope pointed at her room and how he is getting hot or whatever. Then he tells her he's going to hang up on the reservation call and he clicks back on me. He says, "I'm sorry I'll need to call you back." Then he says, "Unless you want to hold on. I just don't know how long I'll be on this other call." I say, "No, sir. Please just call back." I wasn't about to listen to old person phone sex. Still, it was pretty much the most hilarious thing that has happened to me while at a place of employment. It totally made up for all the asshole calls I got tonight!
