(no subject)
woohoo i'm home! i got home around 1:30 AM today but....here's everything that happend:
Saturday: Got to my aunt's house and slept over
Sunday: We left my aunt's house for logan airport, and we tried to get tickets for our flight but the flight was overbooked by 30 people, so we got on an EARLIER flight and got bumped to FIRST CLASS! woot that was fuuun. i wasn't scared at all even though it was my first time. we got the first seats on the plane. and it was such a smooth ride, later people said i had a 'perfect flight experience' and that 'its all downhill from there'. and the flight attendant gave me this biscuit thingy and it was yummy :-).
ok so then i finally land at D.C. and my aunt picks me up and brings us to her house in virginia. nice house, it has a heated pool in the back yard. anyways, it was such a nice day, clear, not humid, in the 80's so we decided to go to the smithsonian! So my uncle drove us all (there's my aunt jean, uncle ron, my cousins Alexis (5) and Hunter (9) (those 4 live down in virginia) and my cousin Emily (14) and my aunt cathy) To D.C. There, after we spent 30 minutes finding a parkin spot, we walked around a bit, and went to one of the smithsonians. First we went to one with a whole bunch of technological stuff. and it had clocks and old steam engines and cars and busses and lots of other cool stuff. Then we walked over to another Smithsonian, with a whole bunch of different stuff, like culture from around the world, and geology. i went to the geology section and looked at all the minerals and stuff, and even saw the Hope Diamond (the largest diamond in the world, at 44 1/2 karots!) O_o. so that was fun, then we got tired and the two youngin`s (who are alexis and hunter) were whining so we headed back home. Then at the house, we just played cards, watched a movie, and just hung around and slept.
Monday: Ok so this was definetly my best tourist day. i went around alll this week with my camera out, yelling "IMA TOURIST" and taking pictures lol. i even took a picture of a tour bus! lol.k well anyways. the chillen` had to go to the dentist, so Jean dropped Emily, Cathy and I off at the Metro (a sub-way/train station) and we took the Sub-way to D.C. and walked around a bit. First we went to the Holocaust Museum. it was sad. we spent over 3 hours in there. =( it made us cry. And then we just walked around. first we walked to the Washington Monument, then to the World War 2 Memorial, then down the reflecting pool and to the lincoln memorial where i saw the big statue himself!. And then we were tired and went home, to the nice heated pool, 84 degrees =). even though my aunt jean thinks that's freezing...crazy virginiananaans.. =P.
Tuesday: we stayed in the house the whole day, watched some movies and had fun.
WEdnesday: Did the same as tuesday only MORE movies lol and a better dinner =). Here's the movies we watched throughout the whole stay: Many Mr. Bean clips, Monty Python: The Meaning of Life, A Goofy Movie, The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
Thursday: we found out that we had to leave on a later flight, which got me pissed cause i had to stay with my youngest cousins for an extra 3 hours =( lol. oh well, i could've flown back on first class but i didnt want to cause i wanted to experience the other stuff that's not first class flying. and i did. it was beautiful on the way back! all the lights in the city, it was breathtaking =). Definetly something i'll remember forever.
ok im tired of writing now, i'll write more later and post the pics. k byye everyone! and im glad to be back
