I found Sybil's comments about Branson disturbing. "I don't know how I feel about him, but he says I love him." Even Mary reacted to Sybil being told by a man how she should/does feel...remember, a man talked Mary into bed and look at the damage that has caused.
I also find it silly that Matthew is engaged, but they keep pushing Mary about Matthew! If Robert's feelings toward Matthew are really that of father/son, then why doesn't he have that conversation with him? Because he may think of Matthew as a son, but he doesn't feel it as deeply as he does his relationship with his daughter Mary...no matter how much he claims it. (Not making sense am I?)
Yea, Sybil's whole submissive form around Branson irritates me. I'm curious if Sybil reacts to the news of Mary's past with Pamuk.
Also great point on Robert's connection to Matthew and yet doesn't speak to him about the situation. I know it's not an easy conversation. And maybe not fair with the war going on (probably shouldn't confuse him) but at least give Mary a break. If you don't like Carlisle and Matthew is out of her hands, why not try to think of a 3rd option? I don't know, it's just frustrating to show us OVER and OVER each week how much Mary loves him but he's engaged. We get it.
