I've been rather quiet on LJ. I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel like I've overdosed on fandoms related to Downton Abbey. Now don't get me wrong, I love reading spoilers and people's analysis of the episodes, but we are only 2 episodes in, and I'm riding on the high of being able to see each week's episode (knock on wood, I can keep doing

It shouldn't be. It should make me read more but each scene with M/M is so high on the angst scale. We've not really made much crossroads in bringing them back. Technically they are drifting further apart now that mary is considering Richard. (With the exception of the train scene and Matthew asking Mary to look out for Isobel and Lavinia). I am curious to know about today's episode and what Mary knows. Also? It would be nice to see Matthew jealous of Carlisle. It can be subtle, he flinching when the man's name is brought up (maybe at dinner) and he jumps into the conversation changing the subject. (But now that I've said that, it won't happen).
I hate Finn/Rachel on Glee. Of course, Rachel and Puck were so much more interesting but they never cared to go down that road for long. (I did laugh when Emma said K/R was the one pairing they hadn't tried). My big problem with them is Finn. First, the actor looks like Howdie Doodie. Second, I'm so glad they are finally pointing out, he's not that talented (especially compared to Rachel). Third, he's so stupid. Stupid characters usually drive me mad (with the exception of Rose on Golden Girls). He's no exception.
As for Will/Emma, I can learn to live with them, but I always felt her crush on Will was never real since it seemed more like he was the only decent guy in her adult world to like. Plus, I started liking her with John Stamos. I guess we shouldn't be shocked they are living/sleeping together but not having sex because she didn't sleep with Stamos either and she was married to him. But between F/R and W/E, I would rather have the latter.
Hee, I'm enjoying Survivor this year! Brandon has ISSUES, though -- OMG. When Coach is stepping away from you slowly, then you KNOW you're a nutcase. ;p
LOL, so true! Brandon, ugh. At least we had him talking to that girl (her name escapes me now) instead of creepily staring at her. As for Ozzy, I've not been a big fan of his but I am curious to see how he does against Coach (who I'm surprising liking). I love Boston Rob (though there was a time I hated him) but it's time he doesn't come back to the show. He's played like four times and there are many others I'd rather see back for a second time.
I think The Office is doing well without Michael. James Spader is good but he's not rammed down our throats too much yet. I've had some laugh out loud moments. Not watched P&R. I don't really get into those OTT sitcoms. The Office is an exception (and it's not that much OTT).

I'd like to think we saw it A BIT (it was subtle, but when Mary introduced the two...Matthew's eyes flickered to hers for a moment, and then looked at her during dinner). I also think it's interesting he speaks in such general terms about it ("good news was imminent" "I want you to do the same"). Doesn't mention Carlisle explicitly -- I'm sure this is way overanalyzing, but maybe Matthew's saying "Hypothetically, I want you to move on." When Mary goes up to him and says "I am engaged to/going to accept Carlisle"...THEN it would be interesting to see his reaction.
(That is...if she EVER does. I'm not entirely sure she'd be able to do so. :( Oh, Mary...)

Shouldn't we? We at least saw her DATING Stamos, saw her KISS him, saw them SPEND TIME TOGETHER -- something W/E haven't done in...a year or more? Were we supposed to believe those "eat this unwashed fruit!" moments and the one time he put his arm around her in the finale means...they're dating now? ARGH!!!
(GAH, it'd be like Matthew coming back from the war, and in the next scene, he's engaged to Mary. I mean...yay, but...HOW?! [Also: DA would NEVER DO THIS. :p ] )

Mikala? Ugh, but he was being an ASS to her, though (and made her cry!) OMG, he has issues...he REALLY should be gone the next tribal council. At least it seems like even Coach's group is getting sick of him. :/
I definitely don't think Boston Rob will ever come back to "Survivor" now...why would he? He's won the money. :D He got what he came back for. :)
I loved Michael on "The Office," so I haven't seen the other two eps. But talking to you, it sounds like I should again...catch on Grey's Anatomy online. I definitely want to see Spader...he's my favorite (oh, Alan Shore! Loved you on "Boston Legal" AND "The Practice!" :)

I've done that too and agree with you. But unfortunately for the average DA viewer, I don't think they are willing to go to such lengths to study DS's facial expressions like we are (for a variety of reasons for me). We need something less subtle as I'm tired of people expressing views Matthew has moved on. While the anti M/M will always look for the negative, I do remember a few news articles not quite sure where Matthew stood.

No we certainly would not (though Edith was kissing that married guy out of the blue actually but there was a little lead up). But Glee does do this. I remember so excited to hear there would be a Rachel/Puck romance (I had been spoiled) and waited for that episode in S1. What we got was Rachel and Puck immediately making out. Then we had Puck explaining how they got to that point (even Ryan Murphy couldn't jump that extreme without telling us How in the the world) and it was just so fast. It's frustrating and I've learned to just not watch Glee for the couples because there is no romance in it, and I'm much happier because of it. What I do find interesting is probably the best romance/setup for the couple (and at least until this season the healthiest) have been Kurt and Blaine.
Oh Mikala. Yea, I didn't care about her crying but I did like some of the things she said to him. I'm afraid Brandon will probably be stuck with us for awhile because of the stupid Russell connection. I sear Russell must have something on Jeff Probst.
I wouldn't be shocked if Rob did come back. He's made a CAREER out of reality TV. And he loves the attention. Eventually he's going to get bored with domestic life, call up MB and the next thing you will know he'll be the next returning member on the show.
re: The office. Michael, I'm scared to say, was probably one of my least favorite characters. There were times I loved him, but there were times I would get so annoyed with him. My favorite moments of Michael were when he was acting actually competent which shows how rare that was. I also am a big believer that a TV should never run around one character. The writers can survive a popular actor's exit but it will depend on the writing. (Case in point Northern Exposure, Rob Morrow leaving should NOT have ended the series.) Anyway, the episode directly following Michael's exit with Dwight in charge was my favorite for last season. And someone very aptly said the reason it worked so well, is it allowed the ensemble to just be an ensemble. I highly agree.
