I've been rather quiet on LJ.  I can't believe I'm saying this but I feel like I've overdosed on fandoms related to Downton Abbey. Now don't get me wrong, I love reading spoilers and people's analysis of the episodes, but we are only 2 episodes in, and I'm riding on the high of being able to see each week's episode (knock on wood, I can keep doing

Thank you, I was thinking about you and a few others. I love FF when it's written so well and so many authors qualify for M/M, but the show is sending me on an emotional rollar coaster. Spoilers probably make it worse (but of course, I'm too addicted to ever give those up). I will read the analysis on LJ but thinking about FF is just too much for me now. What scares me is, I've never had this problem before.

The only FF I have found I can manage is short fluffy pieces of Mary and Matthew happily married in the future. Those are like breaks for my mind.

And I understand what you mean when you notice other people having different opinions of M/M. I think you were the one who didn't think she was going to tell Matthew she loved him in Episode 2 and I agree with that. It's possible she might have subconciously thought to tell him, but I think she didn't know exactly why she went to see Matthew, she just needed to. She already knows she loves him, she knows he's chosen Lavinia and she knows his main thoughts are his duty for England. Maybe seeing him happy with Lavinia would help her accept Richard's quite business like proposal. But it didn't help at all, probably just made her options at this time seem even more darker.

Ugh, and it's this, above this that makes me crazy. It's a lot of angst. Angst with lives in danger!
