Back from vacation
I got back yesterday from my vacation to Springfield, Illinois. My friends moved up there last year so me and another friend took a road trip to go say hi. It was fun, did a lot of stuff and toured all museums I think possible including the brand new Lincoln Presidential Museum.
"Illinois: not as boring as you think" was a tshirt I saw on sale that I regrettably did not purchase when I had a chance. Springfield is a very small "town" which is odd to me being the state capital but they are very proud of Lincoln (and they should be). If you ever wind up going to the city, I highly recommend seeing that brand new museum, particularly the 2 films they show there. One is actually a "Hologram" play that was so awesome. I would have thought it might have been too scary for little kids, but there were quite a few watching and none seemed afraid.
We also drove to St. Louis and went to the zoo. We didn't do EVERYTHING (I had no interest in seeing the insectoriam...yuck) but it was really neat. I have so many pictures and have posted many and thought about putting them on my photo gallery of my website, but have only uploaded a few so far. We also saw the art museum and science museum (both being completely free and unusual for an art gallery to allow you to take pictures.) I am sad to say I get tired too fast as I had to sit down alot. When did I become old?
We also went to a DRIVE-IN (Springfield is very small town America) and saw Batman Begins which was really good. Unfortunately we missed the first 5 minutes and it seems that was awfully important to understanding everything. Luckily one of my friends has seen it before and filled us in.
I am amazed at all you Sandle fanfic writers out there. It's arguably been very quite for a long time this summer but I go away for 5 days and I have so much reading to catch up on. I am not complaining, I love reading Sandle fiction and feel I should go out of town more often. :)
