So, the good news: I've finished mapping out the rest of the chapters for Under the Surface - finally! I don't think I'll be redrafting it again, since I'm pretty happy with the way it stands now. But knowing me, I can't make any guarantees so... I'm about 90% sure that UtS will end up having a total of thirteen chapters. As I'm in the middle of writing the rough draft of chapter eight at this moment, that means that the end is approaching.
But not very quickly. Knowing me and my update track record, well... it'll take me a few months more to get there. ;] I believe I started chapter one at the end of May last year, and I didn't reach chapter five and chapter six until... January/February of this year. :|
My goal, though, is to finish UtS by the end of May. Yes, you heard me right. The end of May. Mainly because I think that I've been dragging out UtS for too long now - thirteen chapters seems like such a pitiful amount, considering that I've been taking a year to write the story. And also, I've been meaning to get started on All the Difference, which I put on hiatus after deciding to concentrate my efforts on UtS. So there's that. Hopefully, I'll get two, maybe three chapters out by the end of April, and then churn out the rest of the chapters by the end of May, after I'm done with my AP finals and whatnot. :]
Wish me luck!
