First, I want to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a wonderful blessed coming new year. I hope that everyone surrounded themselves with those they love, and that they had a safe and blessed Christmas!
On Christmas Eve Day I woke up at 10:00 am and took more pictures inside and outside of my chidhood home. I still have more pictures to take! After I finished taking pictures I ate lunch. I had pizza rolls and for dessert I had two chocolate pretzel sticks while watch the Property Ladder marathon on TLC. Then my mom and my nephew CJ walked in the house. I was so happy to see CJ! My mom said, "Enjoy him now because tomorrow he's spending Christmas with his other Grandma." CJ and I played together, and then CJ decided to watch a movie so he picked out Toy Story, and my mom put it in the VCR for him. While Toy Story was playing CJ and I wrestled and goofed around with each other while my mom was on the phone. While my mom and CJ took a nap I went outside and kicked my soccerball around in the yard and also throwing sticks to Pepe for him to fetch and gwan on. I eventually decided to go inside and go upstairs to l;isten to Christmas music. Around 5:00 pm my mom got CJ dressed in his Christmas outfit, and CJ also put on his Great Grandfather's (my Grandfather) hat. He looked so handsome. We went over to Christine and Ray's house for Christmas Eve. While driving to Christine and Ray's house we looked at Christmas lights, which was a tradition when I was growing up.
As I mentioned we celebrated Christmas Eve at Christine and Ray's house with Christine and Ray's family, Laura and Laura's boyfriend Martin, Justin's parents, and CJ and Ben. I saw Ben in his Christmas outfit and he looked so handsome! I then looked aound to find Lily, Christine's new dog who's four weeks old. I picked her up a lot throught the evening, and cuddled with her. Lily was so adorable! I wanted to take her home with me. We all chatted with each other, and then it was time to eat. There was lots of food and lots of desserts to choose from. CJ and Ben ate at the kitchen while watching a cartoon. While we all were still eating we received gifts from Christine and Ray's family. My parents received a Santa Claus cookie jar, Justin's parents received the same thing, I recived pajamas, and CJ and Ben received a toy vehicle and a dinosaur type toy. I played with my nephews, and with Lily, Daisy, and Mocha while watching Laura and Mike open their Christmas stockings. CJ was more interested in the dogs toys rather than his own new toys...it was weird to see that, but also funny! My mom and I had the opportunity to look at Jennifer and Justin's wedding photo album. The pictures were done very well, and were beautiful. I joined my mom and Christine in the family room, and we talked about various thing soon Laura joined us. While we were talking Daisy and Lily played with each other. Lily really had no chance to pounce on Daisy, but Daisy pounced on Lily...poor girl! It was funny watching them play with each other. Christine was nice to fix up a plate of desserts for my family to take home with us. We decided it was finally time to go on home. We got home a little after midnight. We had such a blast over at their house. It's always a fun time when we go over to their house!
When we got home I let Pepe outside, and went upstairs to my bedroom checked my e-mail and played on the computer while listening to Christmas music. I finally went to bed at 4:00 am with the stereo on playing Christmas music on Lite 101.9. I woke up at 10:30 Christmas morning. I got dressed and went downstairs looking for the Christmas breakfast my parents and I were supposed to have, but nope never happned. My dad was not home when I came downstairs because he was at the new house working. I think he's really anxious to move in. I believe this was my Christmas that my dad was not around to se open my gifts, but my mom was home to see me open my gifts. Ii had three gifts sitting on a table on the Christmas tree skirt. I received socks, pajamas, cassette tapes to record music on, srunchies, perfume, and a $75 Walmart gift card. After opening my Christmas gifts I got some Christmas lunch. I had meat and cheese from the meat and cheese tray and some desserts while my mom and I watched A Very Brady Christmas on the Family Channel. After lunch I took my gifts up to my room and put them away while continuing to watch A Very Brady Christmas. When A Very Brady Christmas was over I channel surfed, but couldn't find anything on I wanted to watch so I turned off the TV and listened to Christmas music. I really wanted to hear "Let It Be Christmas" by Alan Jackson which I don't think any radio station has played which upset me because I REALLY love that song. Anyway, I remember I recorded that song on CMT when Alan Jackson did his Christmas concert. So I played it over and over again. It's an awesome song! At 7:00 pm my parents and I had Christmas dinner. We had ham, real lumpy potatoes, greenbean casserole, and dressing. I hate dressing...yuck! After dinner I went back upstairs and watched TV and began typing this long journal entry! My friend Catherine called me tonight and wanted to know if I wanted to hang out on Monday or Tuesday, and I said, "Sure I would love to!" So, Tuesday I'm gonna hang out with her and we're gonna go shopping, maybe visit my family's new house since it's complete, and then sometime in the evening I'm gonna have dinner with Catherine and her family...how awsome!
Here are lyrics to two of my favorite Christmas songs that warm my heart each time I hear them. I hope these song lyrics warm your heart like they do mine.
"Let It Be Christmas" -Alan Jackson
Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the hearts of all people both near and afar
Christmas everywhere
Feel the love of the season wherever you are
On the small country roads lined with green mistletoe
Big city streets where a thousand lights glow
Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas
Christmas everywhere
Let it be Christmas everywhere
With the gold and the silver, the green and the red
Christmas everywhere
In the smiles of all children asleep in their beds
In the eyes of young babies their first fallen snow
Elderlys' memories that never grow old
Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas
Christmas everywhere
Let it be Christmas everywhere
In the songs that we sing and the gifts that we bring
Christmas everywhere
In what this day means and what we believe
From the sandy white beaches where blue water rolls
Snow covered mountains and valleys below
Let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let every heart sing let every bell ring
The story of hope and joy and peace
And let it be Christmas everywhere
Let heavenly music fill the air
Let anger and fear and hate disappear
Let there be love that lasts through the year
And let it be Christmas
Christmas everywhere
Christmas everywhere
Christmas everywhere
"Breath of Heaven" -Amy Grant
I have traveled many moonless nights,
Cold and weary with a babe inside,
And I wonder what I’ve done.
Holy father you have come,
And chosen me now to carry your son.
I am waiting in a silent prayer.
I am frightened by the load I bear.
In a world as cold as stone,
Must I walk this path alone?
Be with me now.
Be with me now.
Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.
Do you wonder as you watch my face,
If a wiser one should have had my place,
But I offer all I am
For the mercy of your plan.
Help me be strong.
Help me be.
Help me.
Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven,
Hold me together,
Be forever near me,
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven,
Lighten my darkness,
Pour over me your holiness,
For you are holy.
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven.
Breath of heaven.
