Second things first. Apparently I've been inside the cabin used in Cabin Fever, a few years before the movie was filmed. It's deep in the woods at Raven Knob, a scout camp in Mt. Airy, North Carolina. I took a class there where we learned how to live in the 1700's, and we did everything around and inside the cabin. My brother took the same class this past week, and the counselors told them about the cabin being used for exterior shots in the movie. I thought that was pretty effin' neat. So, I think I'll rent Cabin Fever this week so Kev and I can point and say "We were right there!"
First things second, because I'm saving the best for last. My sister, for those of you who don't know, is going to grad school in Montana for Paleontology. While digging up bones over the summer, Discovery Science came out and did a series of little documentaries about the dig site to air on TV. The movies are on the internet, so you can watch them! http://science.discovery.com/convergence/dinodig/videogallery/videogallery.html My sister "stars" in the first one, "A Dinosaur Neighborhood," and the eighth one, "Duckbilled Dinosaurs." It's so cool! It's like her very own TV show, it focuses on just her and she explains her area of expertise--plus you get to see her ride an ATV! You can also catch her in the background of the second, "No Dinosaurs In Tahiti," digging in a giant hole. But watch "A Dinosaur Neighborhood" and "Duckbilled Dinosaurs," and you will know why I'm so proud of my sister.
