in case no one has noticed... or no one cares to notice... i spent a while trying to organize Trick or Treat so kids can eat. Now this was not a project that i wanted to manage by myself, but it was handed to me by messer, because i wasn't in the crucible... so without having to ask for help by the busy crucible members i tried to plan this activity that the officers insisted that we do again.
i don't blame everyone else for this, because it was my project and i should have gotten it publicized more, but i wish i could have had the support of some of the drama club kids. no one (minus ariel, because she is amazing) volunteered to help, or ask what i needed to have help with. i planned to have this event on a day that the crucible wasn't rehearsing, so that more people could be involved. i wanted this to be an event through the whole school, to show that the DMHS Players does activities other than theater and that we give back to the community.
all my hard work for nothing. NO ONE FUCKING HELPED! well minus the SEVEN people that came to ariels and helped us collect can-goods. and mind you that 3 of them weren't even involved in drama club! so i ask why is it that one stepped up to help? does that mean that no one cares? no one was interested? so should we NOT do this even again? This event is totally worth doing... while we were collecting cans we got alot of positive feed back saying that we were doing a great thing. that made me proud, proud of the people that were willing to help.
i'm sorry if i sound irrational, and i'm not directing this to the people that helped, because you know who you are, and what you did to make this sucessful.
i would just like to point out the lack of leadership that is falling apart.
