Starbucks coffee to go up 9 cents a cup, the second price rise in less than a year.

Isn't this blatant economic exploitation of a now addicted American public?

And I don't even much like Starbucks coffee, except for the Misto, a/k/a Caffe Au Lait, which has enough steamy/foamy milk in it to overcome the overroasted flavor of the Starbucks beans.

Although their espresso drinks have too much milk per volume, and thus taste overly milky rather than coffee-y (well, except for the cappuccino, and that's teetering on the edge). Plus all but the Misto and Cappuccino are far too calorie heavy too.

Still, every morning I walk to work I stop in for that Misto ever--this outrageous inflation could cost me something like $1.44 more per month. How can I possibly handle the economic pressure?

Well, I'd switch to Peet's if it was on my pedestrian commute. Those fuckers, making themselves so convenient I can't stop myself...
