Primary Thoughts

Following up on my "Indecision 2008" (thank you, Jon Stewart).

It seems to be conventional wisdom that Barack is somewhat more liberal than Hillary, and according to the polls, Barack gets more support amongst Democrats who are particularly to the left.

However, an All Things Considered piece yesterday said that Hillary was actually slightly to the left of Barack on some economic issues. There's supposed to be another piece on their Health Care proposals today.

Interestingly, I did a quick scan of the exit polls in Florida's meaningless (but not if Hillary can help it) Democratic Primary on Tuesday, and the results were interesting mirror images: Those with very low and very high incomes tended towards Barack, while those clustered around the middle tended more towards Hillary. Similarly, in education, those without a college education and those with graduate degrees went more for Barack, while Hillary captured the middle. Of course, those results are obviously also reflective of the racial, gender, and age groups that happen to occupy those demographic economic and educational groupings.

Hmmmmm...

Still really doesn't help me make up my mind (though the NPR pieces might help).
