Hillary or Barack????
OK, in less than eight days I have to cast my vote in the SuperDuper Tuesday Primary.
And I honestly can't decide.
I like Obama because he's different, because he hasn't yet become beholden to the Washington Establishment, because he seems much more willing to shoot off his mouth and say what he thinks, not what the focus groups tell him to say.
But he definitely has some Conservative tendencies when it comes to the economy, social welfare, and health care.
On some of these very issues Clinton actually seems more to the left. More willing to take on entrenched interests and try to make significant changes. But she screwed up universal healthcare 15 years ago, and she and Bill are most certainly part of the wealthy Washington elite, where back scratching is the name of the game. And Bill would essentially have been a Republican if the Republicans hadn't already tacked so far to the right. And Bill getting down and dirty with the race card may be hard nosed politics, but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth.
Teddy Kennedy just endorsed Obama, Barney Frank's endorsed Clinton....
I just can't yet decide--I was actually hoping to have an opportunity to vote for Joe Biden, but that's not in the cards (or on the ballot).
