Character: Jill Valentine Fandom: Resident Evil Character Notes: History: A member of the RPD's special S.T.A.R.S. unit assigned to Alpha Team, she is a specialist in bomb disposal and has received special training from Delta Force. Considered resourceful and intelligent by her peers, she was already acquainted with fellow S.T.A.R.S. members, Chris Redfield and Forest Speyer, prior to joining S.T.A.R.S.
In June 1998, Alpha Team was deployed to Raccoon Forest in order to investigate the disappearance of Bravo Team. No long after their arrival, the team found the remains of Bravo Team's helicopter pilot and were quickly attacked by zombie dogs. After witnessing the death of member Joseph Frost, Alpha Team was abandoned by their helicopter pilot and the remaining members fled to a nearby mansion (the Spencer estate).
At first, the mansion seemed to had been deserted, but not long afterward, they discovered that all sorts of creatures and "Bio-Organic Weapons" were inhabiting the mansion. They also found the remains of their fallen Bravo Team compatriots. With the help of fellow Alpha Team member, Barry Burton, Jill discovered that the mansion was actually a front for a top-secret facility owned by the Umbrella Corporation. They also discovered that their captain, Wesker, plotted the whole operation in order to gather data on the BOWs' performances. Wesker also had Barry do his bidding by threatening his family. After Wesker was seemingly killed by one of his own creations, Jill and Barry escaped along with Chris and surviving Bravo Team member, Rebecca Chambers, leaving behind the ruins of Spencer Mansion and lab.
After their return to civilization, S.T.A.R.S. request for a full-scale investigation of Umbrella's activities was denied by their superior, Chief Brian Irons of the RPD. With not much else to do, Chris, Barry and Jill decided to travel to Europe and investigate Umbrella's main HQ instead.
Three months after the mansion incident, Jill was ready to make her trip to Europe, when the whole city was infected with the T-Virus. During her escape, she witnessed the death of Alpha Team's pilot, Brad Vickers, at the hands of "Nemesis", a BOW sent by Umbrella to assassinate the remaining S.T.A.R.S. members. Jill managed to thwart Nemesis temporarily and met with Carlos Oliveira, a surviving member of the UBCS along with Nicholai Ginovaef and Mikhail Viktor. However, Mikhail lost his life protecting Jill from Nemesis and Nicholai was presumed dead after a zombie attack. Jill and Carlos ended up in a nearby clock tower after their train collided off-course. During the following battle with Nemesis, Jill was infected with the Nemesis-Virus and lay in a semi-coma for a few hours.
Jill later recovered after being administered with a serum by Carlos. Jill discovered another of Umbrella's secret facility hidden behind a park. In there, she confronted Nicholai for the last time and fought with Nemesis once again. Jill successfully destroyed Nemesis with a top-secret weapon stored in the facility and managed to escape from the city with Carlos via helicopter. As they flew away, Jill witnessed the destruction of Raccoon City, as the Government decided to prevent the spread of the T-Virus by launching a nuclear strike.
Jill, Barry and Carlos became involved in various Anti-Umbrella activities up until Umbrella was officially shutdown by the Government.
Personality: Jill is a fighter by nature. She can brawl, drink, and stick it out with the best of them. Tenacity could be considered her middle name. But she also has a soft side-especially when it comes to her friends or teammates. She's remarkably stable for all she’s been through, with a very healthy emotional state and a calm, clever way of looking at situations. Also, she tries to look at the bright side of things, and she has a strong sense of justice. Other: Additional Links: Jill's Resident Evil Wiki.
First Person (entry type): So Umbrella is finished. Gone. I had hoped that we, the remaining S.T.A.R.S and those whom had joined us would finally be relieved of bullshit, to put it bluntly. No more fighting. We could try and rebuild our lives.
I went out during the night, just to do some late night shopping as I barely get the time to go out during the days, and as I wandered through a small shop, eying the glassware with disinterest, the sky began to glow red and it came closer, like an explosion and covered everyone. The last thing I remember was shouts of confusion. I have since awoken, alone in this place. It's a graveyard, so it seems and there is no pun in this but everything seems dead. I've been walking for ages and I can't find anyone or anything. It's barren.
I refuse to believe that after 6 years of fighting...Damn it, I'm going to look for others. I'm going to try and find someone. I need to know that everyone is okay. I need to know whats going on. Need to find someone who has a clue...
Third Person: From a distance, the boarded-up bar looked like a safe haven, but Jill knew the eyes could be deceiving.
Nevertheless, she didn’t have a choice. She had to take her chances; she was running low on ammo and the moans of distant zombies closing in on her scent were getting closer. Pressing herself up against the wall beside the bar’s main entrance, she laid her hand on the doorknob and, experimentally, tried to turn it.
Unlocked.
Jill frowned apprehensively. Either it was barricaded somehow on the other side, or whoever had boarded-up the windows had moved on to another location. Or met with a grisly end because of something within. In any case, she braced herself. With a quick twist of her wrist, she threw the door open. Pivoting on her right heel, she aimed-hand over hand-and stared down the barrel of her gun.
. . Right at nothing.
While outside the bar had been so prepared for a zombie onslaught, the interior looked as though it hadn’t been touched since the last night of being fully operational. Empty beer glasses sat unattended on tables. Ashtrays were full. Over the bar countertop, a turned-on television spurted white noise restlessly.
Despite how calm the waters seemed, Jill didn’t let down her guard. Gun still at the ready, she ambled forward at a cautious pace.
“Hello?” she called out. “Anyone here?”
Her only answer was the white noise from the television.
With baited breath, she kept moving. Eventually, her creaking footfalls brought her to the counter top, where she began to hear something else besides the mindless box hanging over her head: A dulled, throaty growling.
Her gaze slowly lowered to where, just behind the counter top, a zombie dog sat baring its teeth at her. Exhaling slowly, Jill aimed for it. She was just about to pull the trigger when more growls joined the creature behind the counter top. She didn’t have to turn her head to know that two more zombie dogs had come out of hiding places to her rear.
"Oh, great . ."
Reacting on adrenaline, she fired at the zombie dog behind the counter, managing to hit it lethally in the cerebrum. Its companions’ growls grew more fierce and vengeful. They lunged at Jill as she mounted the counter top and rolled over its other side. She landed hard on the flat of her back but ignored a singing pain in one of her joints as she propelled herself to her feet and aimed-once more-as the second zombie dog mounted the counter top in hot pursuit. Its jaws, inches away from her face, snapped viciously. Jill stumbled back a step, nearly tripping over the still corpse of the first zombie dog, but she didn’t lose her aim. She fired twice, and the bullets nestled themselves in her target as it gave a startled, final yelp.
The last creature circled the counter top instead of following the example of the second. Aggressively, it crept closer to Jill, who leveled her gun at it and squeezed its trigger.
