I’m not usually th’ type t’ write in a journal, but Kazuha said I should prolly ‘widen my horizons’ or some stuff like that. I think she’s getting worried bout how many cases I work on. Granted, I can’t spend as much time hangin’ out as I’d like to, and I can’t see a lot of my friends outside o’ school, but I don’t think an online journal is really gonna help.
Ah well, if I don’t humor her, she’d yell at me. What else is new?
So what exactly do people do on an online journal anyway? Talk to themselves? Sounds a bit iffy t’ me.
Third Person:
Heiji watched as the latest caught culprit was taken away in the back of a police car until they were out of sight, and then wiped a hand over his face. Murder was always a serious business, and strange as it seemed, they just kept getting worse and worse every case he solved. Ever since he met Kudo.
Not that he’d change anything that he’d been through, but one had to wonder what effects it were having on him. Sometimes he wondered if he could just deal with a nice peaceful theft or something, for once, instead of a gruesome murder because someone got jilted in a card game, or whatever crazy reasons that caused people to go over the edge of sanity.
Letting out a sigh, he brushed off the latest nightmare and removed his hat to smooth out his hair. Placing it backwards on his head again, he waved to one of the remaining officers handling the crime scene and made his way back home.
After a moment of unusually quiet thought, he dug his cell phone out of his jacket pocket and checked the time. Wide eyed in realization, he broke into a run, cursing softly under his breath. He was supposed to meet Kazuha an hour ago!
