So finally, after illness and dog issues made me cancel most of the games I was supposed to go to, I am going to see the Nats tonight. Dave's got season tix and it's a month into the season before I go! Sigh.
But, they are playing the O's tonight, so well worth the wait. The battle of relatively inept teams, fabulous. Our poor Nats, they are so terrible. So I guess whoever is less terrible tonight will win, hehe. Go Nats! I am looking forward to seeing Nicky J, of course, and also Sori...Sori, whom I haven't seen since he was a Yankee! Very exciting. He is certainly not an outfielder, and I don't think the Nats ever should have traded for him, but I will enjoy seeing him nonetheless.
Mom is comign tomrorow for the weekend, so that will be fun. Looks like we have good weather for it, too.
In other news, Dave always says that I am lacking in a careful button. What he means by this is that I tend to...uh...hurt myself a lot. Strains, pulls, cuts, bruises, whatever, I'm always doing something to myself. In the ultimate careful-button-lessness, I was pulling floor tiles this morning to run a piece of fiber for a new switch I installed. And...I pulled a muscle in my upper back doing this. Badly. It is KILLING me, just sitting here.
I know most people on my flist have probably not ever pulled floor tiles. But let me just say this - we are not talking about heavy, difficult equipment here, other than the fact that you have to be careful with the awkward shape and sharp corners not to sever fiber, this is not a hard thing to do. Yet I hurt myself doing it.
Sigh.
