(no subject)
Alas, I never write anymore. Things are going very well. Eagle is doing great (we changed "Washington's" name back to his racing name, he responds so well to it). He is a beautiful dog, and I don't know what I did before he was here! His separation anxiety was pretty rough the first few weeks, but we are getting better with lots of alone training, DAP diffusers, and Eagle just setttling in, etc. His personality is beginning to come out a little more every day...he loves to play bow and roo when he wants to get me going. He is adorable. :)
Sonic is doing well too, although our riding got put on hold again with a nasty crack on his hoof, and his dental appointment getting moved back. I didn't want to ride him with his hooks so bad, so I have held off. They got done this week, though, and so did his feet, so I think we're good. I think this week I'd just like to concentrate on his flexibility and go from there. He is still stiff from lack of work during the cold months. His back muscles need some building up, but I was pleased to see that the muscles under his neck lessened...he will be able to flex much better at the poll without a mass of muscles forcing his neck back up. He is looking very good, though, shedding out and filling out a little, too. Baby boy is growing up.
Not much else going on, work's tough as usual, Dave and I are doing well otherwise. We love our house, and Arlington is a pretty nice place. Working on a new quilting project too, so that's fun...it's a Yellow Brick Road lap-quilt made of different horse prints and brown or green batiques. Very pretty.
