Action-packed month ahead, guys! Hope you're excited. The winning viruses being Lost in Translation and Seven Sins/Virtues! We also have the return of perennial favourite DDD Secrets, and a Haunted House Event at the end of the month. Strap yourselves in and get ready, bros.
Lost in Translation is first up, 10th-11th. The comm's Universal Translator goes haywire, and leaves you speaking [native language] with no way to make yourself understood in plain English. If you're lucky enough to speak English naturally, though, you might be unlucky enough to have all your messages accidentally auto-translated into another language from your world. Feel free to attempt to communicate using charades, pictionary, mime, the Power of Love*, and/or interpretive dance.
*Management apologises in advance for the failure of the Power of Love as a translation device. We are not Grandmother Willow.
DDD Secrets follows behind, 15th-17th. Those of you who've been around long enough already know how this works, but for the new players - at some point between now and then, a post will go up in the OOC comm for you to submit secrets in-character, in the style of and its ilk. Feel free to assume characters are compelled to make these if they would never normally consider it but you want to join in, and don't feel constrained by sticking to your character's graphic-making skills. These secrets will then be posted anonymously in a post to the comm for all characters to see and comment on.
Seven Sins/Virtues virus then takes its turn on 21st-23rd. If you were around last time, again, you know the drill - basically a character becomes the absolute embodiment of a
Deadly Sin or Heavenly Virtue, either one that they most identify with or one with which they are most at odds with. (Or just one which you think would be funniest, if you're inclined that way.)
Last but certainly not least, the Halloween Event this year is a Haunted House funtimes trip! It'll take place ICly on the 31st itself, but the post will go up on the 29th to give everyone threading time. More on that nearer the time, but rest assured, it's gonna be bitchin'.
Calendar can be found
here, as ever.
Questions, comments? Leave 'em here!
ETA: Before anyone asks or worries, no, you will not be expected to type in any other language for Lost in Translation. If you fluently speak French/Japanese/Gaelic/Na'vi/Klingon/etc, by all means, impress us all! But {brackets system} is here if you don't. Or you can, idk, write your comments in Wingdings for your fictional language, or something. Go nuts!
