Issei breathed in and adjusted his cat ears for the hundredth time that day.
This never got any easier. Oh, sure, he knew how to put on his frilly maid dress now, and he technically knew how to take orders from guests, but that feeling of nervousness at letting someone see him in this state was still there.
Still, it was going to be all right, he reassured himself as he stood by his table. It wasn't as if he'd have to wait on anyone he really hated or anything.

Issei was so shocked that he was still frozen stiff when she played with his ears. He managed to stammer out the basic line for greeting guests he'd learned.

"Of, of course. Right away!" he squeaked, heading into the kitchen as fast as possible. Thankfully, getting drinks allowed him a few moments away from the horrible witch he was forced to serve.
He considered taking an abnormally long amount of time to bring it back, but decided that it was unwise to give her a long time to plot his downfall. After a short while, he returned with a tray in his hands, and leaned down to set it on the table. "H-here you are."

"But I haven't paid for that tea and stealing food is against company poli-" Issei forced himself to shut up, reminding himself that the number one policy was "The Customer Is Always Right, Unless They're Groping You".
Clearly this was just the first step in her maniacal plan, but there was nothing he could do about it. Slowly, he sat down across from her. "O-of course."

"Up until recently," meaning the moment Akako walked up to his table and scared him half to death, "it's been fine, although it takes some getting used to."
Issei eyed the teacup distrustfully. She wasn't actually going to make him 'enjoy' her tea, was she?

Issei flushed and jerked his gaze up, purposefully ignoring the cleavage. Rules were rules, but common sense was common sense. "I-I don't want to give you any of my germs."

Issei yelped when Akako's expression turned cold. That was definitely not a good sign.
"I-if you say so, Koizumi," he answered, lifting the teacup to his lips and hesitating before taking a small sip. That much couldn't kill him, probably.
