[Beach Party - Side Beaches]

The main beach extends pretty far in both directions, and the further you go the more of a change there is. To the west the coast turns rocky, with nooks and wind-carved cliffs. A good place for exploring, or catching crabs.

To the east, the beach curves away in a private cove of even finer sand and calm water. Unlike the main beach, neither end

Shadow had meant to head in the direction of the BBQ pits but had somehow ended up going towards the east, eventually ending up at the private cove. He actually looked around a bit, checking to see if there was anyone around and... Once he thought he was for certain alone...

He dropped into the sand to kind of lay there.

It didn't take long, after recieving some motivation from Vivi, for Rouge to hunt Shadow down. Especially once he'd stopped moving and flopped into the sand of the side beach. She watched him lay there for a moment, grasping for words to properly express her disappointment, before storming down the slope of sand and kicking some in his face.

"So, you've been hiding down here?" She scowled.

Sand + Face = Shadow aughing, sitting up quickly while rubbing at his face to get rid of the sand. He does not look to good, what with sand sticking to him from his encounter with Haruhi after he dunked Sonic. And he still hasn't got his shoes back.

"No," He answered, sounding just a bit confused.

"You think it's funny to ditch me, saying you're going to chase Sonic down, and then... let a kid catch you screwing around?" Rouge scowled, putting her hands on her hips in an attempt to keep herself from socking him in the face.

"... Wait, what?" Shadow blinked, what Rouge said finally getting his full attention. "I already got Sonic and then I ran into Haruhi, who was drunk I might add! And then... Augh!"

He does not want to explain this, at all.

Rouge's fist clenched, sliding off her hip. She tried her best to keep it at her side as she stared him down.

"HARUHI!? You were fucking HARUHI? She's a little girl!"

"THERE WAS NO SEX, DAMNIT!" Shadow shouted, getting more flustered. "I took her beer and she tackled me, that was it."

"Then why does Vivi seem to think you had sex? The kid barely understands what it is, you'd have to be pretty obvious for him to take it that way!" She countered, wings flapping in an attempt to relieve her aggravation.

"Because. Augh." Shadow ducks his head, from embarrassment and the fact that he does not want to meet Rouge's eyes at the moment. "HeaskedandHaruhisaidwewere."

Rouge looked less than comforted by this comment and instead hit him upside the back of the head. "Why the hell would she say that, if you weren't!?"

Shadow was tired and worn out so the hit did a bit more damage then expected, knocking him forward into the sand.

"WHAT THE HELL? I DON'T KNOW, ASK HER!"

Rouge stared down at him for a moment, her anger ebbing away into mild frustration and confusion at what had him so worn out. She sighed, sitting down beside him in the sand, propping her hands on her knees and looking down at him expectantly.

"What happened?"

Shadow pulled himself up into a sitting position, taking a few deep breaths and trying to collect his thoughts.

"I went down by the water, because. Yeah, Sonic." He started to explain. "I got him in the water but... Shit, Maria! She saw and... The BBQ pit, to dry off and... My shoes."

Make sense? Not really, he's kind of jumping from each thing that has happened so far and not really connecting things.

"...You're not making any sense." Rouge pointed out. "What about Maria, after you got Sonic in the water?" She asked plainly, trying to sort things out in her mind. She was still wondering how this whole situation led up to Vivi thinking that something had gone on between Shadow and Haruhi.

"... She saw me dro--dunking Sonic." Shadow actually sounds... Bad about this fact. "I'm hiding from her, sort of."

Because in Shadow's mind? Angry Maria is the most terrifying thing ever. More so than Black Doom and his planet-raping tentacle comet.

"Why are you hiding from her, Shadow?" Rouge asked, faintly wondering if she was annoying him by asking so many questions.
