Yes yes, this is obviously inspired by Jackson Pollock. I've spent quite a bit of my painting time learning to paint like him. It is a lot harder than it looks. I have mixed feelings about Pollock though. I think he was only a slightly better than average artist BUT the concept of Abstract Expressionism is genius to rival Leonardo or Pablo Picasso. "Ribbit-ribbit" is a tribute to his idea, not him, mixed with my own 3-d/whimsical painting style.

=Painted by: James Spagnola
This is James at his best. This painting is 20 sq. feet of James' specialty...turning seemingly chaotic patterns into perfect structure. When he churns out a piece like this I am reminded that we are not artistic equals. Though he may be the silent partner of TripiQ, he has been in the game nearly a decade longer than I have.

-Untitled (evil)-
-Oil, acrylic, and glass on masonite
-18x24
-Price: $75.00
=Painted by: TripiQ
This painting has a weird story. That crazy devil's head was not intentional. I was using a glass palette while working on another TripiQ painting and dropped it. The palette fell upside-down and shattered. Staring back up at me from the mess was that face. I glued the image to a piece of masonite that I had painted blue. James added all the red, structure lines and this painting was born. Personally, it gives me the willies because I know for a fact that I wasn't even remotely trying to paint a devil's face on my palette.

"Less than three"
-Acrylic and oil on canvas
-10x30
=Painted by: Vaughn Bocchino
I thought I would post this piece as a bonus. A friend of mine asked me to paint something for his g/f (who is a big fan of my art). They are both super dorks and are probably playing World of Warcraft right now...thus the whole "less than three/heart" thing. Happy Anniversary kiddos!
