Busy weekend
We went to Dallas for family stuff, but got our workouts in. Saturday we rode to White Rock Lake, around the lake, and back home. 30 miles. And then I ran for 20 minutes. Sunday I ran 7 miles alone. I hate running alone. I tried using my iPod with retractable headphones with earbuds that stick in my ears, but they don't stick in my ears. I spent 3 miles shoving them back in my ears every 30 seconds and finally took the darn things off. Then I had only my thoughts to keep me company. What did I think about? I thought about the blister forming on my left foot, caused by the new shoes, the old socks, or the old socks in the new shoes. I thought about running on the shadier side of the street, even if I was running with traffic, because the idea of being killed quickly and painlessly by an unseen car was preferable to the slow painful death of heat stroke. And I thought about composing my LJ entry about my thoughts. This is kinda what it looked like in my thoughts.
