End of an era

Today I received the news that I was "selected" for a "resource action" - IBM-speak for I've been laid off.  I have 30 days to find another job within IBM (good luck with that) and after Feb 26, I will be officially unemployed.  I will get a decent severance package, but knowing the state of the world and the sheer number of layoffs happening in the industry, I'll be lucky to find anything for a very long time.  I'm in shock today.  I'm a second generation IBMer, and it's the only job I've ever had.  I don't know how not to be an IBMer.  Guess I'll find out soon enough.  Time I figured out what I want to be when I grow up.

If anyone knows of a job that involves geocaching and triathlons, sign me up!
