1st post-op doc visit

Saw the doc today and found out the real scoop on what he found & fixed.  He did move the bicep tendon and fixed the slap tear, plus cleaned up a fraying subscap tendon.  He first thought he could leave the slap tear alone since the bicep wouldn't be pulling on it anymore but it was a big enough tear (described as 10:00 to 2:30 if my labrum were a clock) that he had to anchor it too.  So I feel so much better knowing that it really was injured, wouldn't have healed on it's own, and needed to be fixed.

Next up, I continue to wear the sling for 4 weeks and start PT.  I can walk and ride the recumbent stationary bike (hello cardio!). 8 weeks to running.  4 months to swimming.  If all goes well.  I can drive lefty if I'm not taking narcotics and if I'm comfortable doing so.  I'll make it work.  Too damn inconvenient not to.

It's a wild ride!
