I've spent a lot of time lately trying to solve the problem of world hunger. And like all things I spend a lot of time on, it didn't budge after I intensely focused on it, wishing it would. It's kind of sad when you realize that no matter how hard you try, you are never going to be able to force-push stuff. To be honest with you, I don't rightly know how Force Push could've solved world hunger, but that still doesn't make me feel any better about not being able to wield the power of the Force. All that stuff about closing your eyes and deflecting stuff thrown at you doesn't really work. Sure, you may get lucky, but I think that's all there is to it.
A good friend of mine is in intensive care right now. I read someplace that the Force flows much better through your bloodstream if there is a sufficient level of tequila in it to better catalyze the Force molecules. Anyway, so we blindfolded him and threw hunting knives at him. Everyone laughed and made those buzzing lightsaber sounds, it was great -- warm late summer night with millions of bright stars in the sky, the glow of the campfire painting the fine white sand orange...
I don't know if it's my Counter-Strike experience or what, but it turns out I'm very good at throwing knives at people, and my friend just sucks at wielding the Force. Unless you count his right lung slowing the further entry of the blade as some sort of great Force power. In which case he did pretty well. I plan to tell him that when he wakes out of his coma.
