Our Main Library took a big hit today, as did the University of Louisville and other downtown areas, but we lucked out at home. My library lost Internet and wireless access; the server all the libraries use is at the Main Library, under about 3 feet of water, I believe. Oh my ... At least I'm not (at the moment!!) having to help clean up that

I was thinking of you today; I saw about Louisville on that new blog I discovered.

Cornell has an excellent library disaster recovery team that I think they have said will be available for other local libraries, alas I imagine Louisville is not local.

(Obviously, they don't need the library disaster team much, but they practice frequently how to save as many books as possible etc etc.)
