Hosgmeade

*out in Hogsmeade, running errands, passing by the new Three Broomsticks* Oh look, it's going to be reopening! How wonderful! *checks the date of the grand opening* I'll have to make sure I stop by. Now that we aren't going to Nice, I know I'm going to need some sort of a distraction.

*continues down the street* I don't know what I was thinking. A shop owner leaving town the weekend before Christmas - it's unheard of. But with Charlotte coming home, I really wanted some time away.

*bowing her head, fighting against the wind that whips up* Who wouldn't? Within the past few weeks someone has tried to kill me, and the Underground blew up. It's a bit much to process all at once. If I close my eyes, I can still smell the smoke, can still see Bill Weasley taking that barrier down by what seemed like sheer will. I still can see Justin - squaring his shoulders and going right to the center of the chaos, winging that concrete away like it was nothing, taking charge and keeping everyone calm. I can still feel how still Seamus was - his heart barely beating, so close to death it still scares me. A minute or so more and we would have been too late. I took him directly to St. Mungo's and handed him to the Healers, then left to go back without leaving my name. Part of me wanted to stay and see if he was all right, but I didn't feel as though it were my place. I went back to help some more...and...it was just so horrible. I just want to be alone with Justin in some beautiful place - far away from thoughts of death and destruction. That's not too much to ask, is it?

Apparently it is. But I suppose it's just as well because I've a list to do that's a mile along. I need to speak to Mrs. Bulstrode and explain to her why her daughter has disappeared, and see if I can convince her to go into hiding as well. I don't want her to become some sort of pawn in this mess. There's an Order meeting this week - my first, and goodness knows what that will bring. And on top of that, I need to do my regular work. There will be no rest for me this week.

*arrives at her shop and pauses before going in* But with what's out there, who can rest? *arranges a smile on her face and greets a customer*
