Severus Snape's Private Quarters

*moves through a Tai Chi sequence, holding the last position, but shaking and falling out of it quickly*

Not bad, considering how long I was unconscious. I can still feel magic flowing back into me, but it has slowed of late. I could be off this self-imposed magic fast by tomorrow night.

*kicks off workout pants with extra vehemence*

Just in time to face Lupin with the Wolfsbane Potion, resume Occlumency lessons with Potter, and ready myself for another thrilling week drilling basic potions into simple minds.

*drops heavily on the bed, pulls blankets over him*

Nox

One course of action is clear to me now: I must kill Blaise Zabini. Yesterday, Brocklehurst spent half my class glancing toward Zabini and the other half staring at my right ear. Zabini did not look her way once. It is the same situation at meals. I had heard Zabini was coerced home over the break, during my recent fact-finding mission. It is possible he has returned to the fold.

Brocklehurst may continue to ignore me, she has made her position clear, but if Zabini mentions our conversation to the wrong people, I could be suspect. I should never have spoken to him for...I should know better.

If only she did not look so tired all the time. It has only been four days.

Malfoy is another who is determined to study himself into exhaustion. Narcissa asked me to speak with him, but I have yet to find a moment to draw him away without arousing suspicion. I am hearing increasing reports of him spending time with the Weasley girl. Narcissa, when he was younger, I tried, but now...he cannot be trusted. I have already left myself open to Zabini. Draco made his choice a long time ago. Lucius is more deeply involved with the Dark Lord than ever. I am resolved to give nothing away to Davis when we speak next week.

*groans aloud*

Dumbledore...questioned me closely on Black's whereabouts. As if I would keep such information from him! The mutt is most likely trying to out-run the memories I am almost sure we three shared upon waking. I know I saw a memory of my own. I can only assume the others were true-to-life as well. Lupin, if he figures out the veracity of the dreams we shared...

How much of my dreams did he see?
