Just a girl

So there are alot of items on the market to help parents designate the gender of their child and while I do dress my child in pinks and purples I think that some items are just ridiculous. The things I dislike the most are the hair accesories, now don't get me wrong they are fine for those that actually have enough hair but just look silly on those without. I firmly believe that if you have to velcro a bow or ribbon into your child's hair then they do not have enough hair to be wearing it in the first place.

But the most ridiclous of all are the headbands aka a piece of fabric wrapped around the childs head. Again I would have no issue if these so called headbands actually served any purpose other then showing the world that your baby is indeed a little girl (because you know that massive amount of pink surrounding her doesn't do the trick)

I'm sorry for being ranty but it has really been bugging me since she was born and people have been making comments about how I "have" to put bows in her hair or at least a headband so people can tell she is a girl. It makes me want to scream because who really cares?!?! They are just little babies and the world should be less worried about things like colors and accesories and more worried about the happiness/well being of the little ones.

What the heck is this thing on my head?!?!

Ugh I think I'm going to be sick! Please take it off!
